Why having black friends is a valid defense against racism

It would be pretty racist of you to think my black friends aren’t qualified to assess whether I’m a racist.

    • Hah. Well, I am a pretty calm person! And it’s also a bit of a tongue-in-cheek description, but there’s some truth in it: I tend to only write about things after I’ve been thinking about them for a few days, and often being annoyed at something I read/heard/saw is what starts that process. My first few dozen posts were angrier, too…maybe I’ve become less flippant since then.
